Prayer for USA (or other country)

This is sample prayer taken from She Divides the Spoil by Natalya Vazemiller.  Please pray this prayer daily for USA or adjust it to the needs of a different country:

‘Our Father in heaven, may Your name be honored as holy by the American people. May Your kingdom come in the United States. Your will be done on US soil as it is in heaven. Give America today her daily bread, the understanding and reverence of Your Word; the pouring out of Your Holy Spirit on US residents and churches; the repentance of people’s sins and the first love for Your Son. Please forgive debts of American people, soften their hearts for repentance, and receive our petitions for the American people. Let the people love each other and tolerate each other’s differences. Visit with Your mercy and heal the American nation. Heal and forgive mothers who committed abortions. Visit abortion clinics and stop the bloodshed of the innocent unborn children. Please visit with Your mercy and the power of Your salvation our schools, nursing homes, daycares, hospitals, jails, prisons and juvenile detentions. Please, bless all the American leadership and give them fear of Your name. Help them to pass the laws that would benefit the American people and would not break Your holy statutes. Grant them all wisdom of how to handle anything that arises before them, so the people will be safe and unharmed. Bless the American law enforcement and give them the ability to do their duty faithfully with no regrets and without breaking the law. Please protect the American water and food supply from poisoning and shortage. Keep American soil from terrorism and natural and man-made disasters.Lord of the harvest, please send out laborers for Your harvest in America in order for the harvest to be mighty and lack nothing. Do not bring our people and our churches into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. Forgive us our great sins and for everything we anger Your holy name with. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.Lord, bless the American people and keep them, make Your face shine upon them, and be gracious to them, lift up Your countenance upon them, and give them peace. Amen.

We ask You, Father, in the name of our Lord, Jesus Christ, hear our voice! Have mercy on our nation, United States, and her people. Answer us, help Your people seek Your face, repent and turn away from their sins. Raise Your people to get on their knees and intercede. We ask Your mercy on the multitude of souls, save many from eternal condemnation; be merciful to many souls because of Your Son’s Blood.

Please, give American churches fear and trembling before Your face and Your Holy Scriptures. Bring repentance upon people. May they lead holy and pure living. Bring upon the American church a mighty revival. Please, pour out on the American church Your heavenly gifts and blessings which are in Your heavenly storage. Raise out of them prophets, preachers, petitioners and prayer warriors. May the name of Your Son be glorified through Your church among the people. May many more souls come to the repentance and knowledge of Your Son, Jesus Christ. The gates of hell may not prevail Your church. Give mercy to them during persecution, help everyone to be faithful and loyal. Protect the youth and children of the American churches. Visit them in Your special way and touch them mightily with Your protective, healing and blessed hand. Amen.”

Self and Family Intercessor

One can make a great difference in the world and bring much fruit to the Lord by becoming regular intercessor for one’s own small circle. Our loved ones are in need of our daily prayer support. If every Christian woman would intercede only for her immediate family circle, the world would witness a revival: many souls would come to Christ and be spared from eternal condemnation; there would be less loss of lives, property, and money due to divine prevention of natural disasters. Thus simple petitions for safety, salvation, guidance and the blessing of our families on a daily basis will produce much glory and fruit for the Lord.

Here are just a few suggestions of what to do:

1. Pray for yourself and your family members (children, husband, sisters, brothers, parents, your other relatives) for salvation, to open their eyes to understand Scripture, show blind spots, learn to pray, and lead them to a healthy prayer life, etc.

2. Surround yourself and your family with a circle of protection from all danger.

3. Pray for the safety of physical surroundings. Through this prayer you and your neighbors (even cities) can be protected from many natural disasters. (Since I started to pray in this way, I have seen the hand of God sparing my neighborhood and even city from disasters wherever I lived.)

4. Use Scripture when praying for yourself and your family members.

Tip: I like to write down my petitions on paper.  I refresh my list every 40 days.

Please share for salvation and benefit of many. Thank you! Be blessed!

Prayers Based on Scripture

God has given us the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We can use it in our prayers.

(These are my favorite prayer verses. Bible is very rich, be creative and use Scripture that works for you at the time of your need.)

‘Lord, be the wall of fire all around (names), and reveal Your glory in (their) midst.’ Based on Zechariah 2:5

‘May the Lord bless (names) and keep (them); the Lord make His face shine on (them), and be gracious to (them); the Lord lift up His countenance on (them), and give (them) peace.’ Based on Numbers 6:23-27

‘God grant (names), according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with the power through His Spirit in the inner man; so that Christ may dwell in (their) heart through faith; and that (they), being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is breadth and length and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that (they) may be filled up to all the fullness of God.’ Based on Ephesians 3:16-19

‘Let (names) be born again and enter through the small gate and walk the narrow road so (they) be saved, find life and enter the kingdom of heaven.’ Based on John 3:3 & Matthew 7:13, 14

‘Heavenly Father, I pray in the name of Jesus, may (names) love abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that (they) may approve the things that are excellent, that (they) may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.’ Based on Philippians 1:9-11

‘Jesus, please help (names) to abide in Your Word and keep Your Word, so (names) shall never see death, know the truth and be set free.’ Based on John 8:51, 31, 32

‘Lord Jesus, please help (names) to endure to the end and overcome in order to be saved and eat from the tree of life.’ Based on Revelation 2:7

‘Work in (names) to will and to do everything to Your good pleasure.’ Based on Philippians 2:13

‘Help (names) to think on these things: whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and praise.’ Based on Philippians 4:8

‘Lord, please deliver (names) from every evil work, and preserve unto Your heavenly kingdom: to You be glory for ever and ever.’ Based on 2 Timothy 4:18

‘Let the words of (names) mouth and the meditations of (their) heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, (their) strength and Redeemer.’ Based on Psalms 19:14

‘May (names) be taught by You, and may great peace be with (them).’ Based on Isaiah 54:13

‘Direct steps of (names) by Your word, and let no iniquity have dominion over (them).’ Based on Psalm 119:133

Let (names) seek things that which are of Christ Jesus.’ Based on Philippians 2:21

‘Put on (names) the whole armor of God, that (names) may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand.’ Based on Ephesians 6:13

‘May You, God of peace sanctify (names) completely; and may (names) whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.’ Based on 1 Thessalonians 5:23

Lord’s feasts

“We need to pay attention to the Lord’s feasts and even celebrate them in the light of the New Testament, for they signify events that are directly related to us. These seven feasts are represented as the seven lamp lampstand: “. . . there is a lampstand of solid gold with a bowl on top of it, and on the stand seven lamps with seven pipes to the seven lamps. Two olive trees are by it, one at the right of the bowl and the other at its left” (Zech. 4:2b4).

God’s Call for Action

I combined several verses from the Bible to emphasize God’s call to all Christian and His heart for the lost. The call is even more intense for the time we live: “‘As I live!’ declares the Lord God, ‘I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that the wicked turn from his way and live.’ For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. The Spirit of the Lord is upon the Son, because He anointed the Son to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent the Son to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed. To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord. God does not show partiality.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward men, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest. Therefore, let all supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all.

And the cry is being heard already: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ We need to do homage to the Son, that He not become angry, and we perish in the way, for His wrath may soon be kindled. But the Lord desires mercy, and not sacrifice, for He did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance. God has no pleasure in the death of a sinner. This is why Jesus has come: to preach the gospel to the poor; to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.

Assuredly, Jesus has said to us, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loose in heaven.” Therefore, we need to deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter. Can we say, “Surely we did not know this?” Does not He who weighs the hearts consider it? He who keeps your soul, does He not know it? And will He not render to each man according to his deeds? God has given us the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We need to use the Word of God in our prayers. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.

Jesus has said to us, “To go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” Many have hid their talents in the ground. Let’s obey the Lord by liberating the captives and the oppressed through our prayers. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Assuredly, Jesus has said to us, “whatever we bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth will be loose in heaven. And if two of us agree on earth concerning anything that we ask, it will be done for us by our Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in His name, He is there in the midst of them.” And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

The instant God speaks concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, if that nation against whom God has spoken turns from its evil, He will relent of the disaster that He thought to bring upon it. When God shuts up heaven and there is no rain, or commands the locust to devour the land, or sends pestilence among His people, if His people who are called by His name will humble themselves, and pray and seek His face, and turn from their wicked ways, then He will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.  When Daniel prayed to God with sackcloth, fasting and supplication and repenting of his nation’s sins, God has heard him.

For the Lord utters His voice before His army; surely His camp is very great, for strong is he who carries out His word. The day of the Lord is indeed great and very awesome, and who can endure it? “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “Return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping and mourning; and rend your heart and not your garments.” Now return to the Lord your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and relenting of evil.

God needs prayers warriors, therefore the Lord raises His voice in the presence of His army and gives a command; the women who carry out His command are powerful, they are a great host and make a very large camp. Because of their obedience, they will delight in the Almighty and lift their faces to God. They will pray to Him and He will hear them and He will rescue many by the purity of their hands.””

Martha’s Sin

I believe Jesus’ rebuke towards Martha was justified. It is written that Martha was distracted with much serving. Mary, however, focused her attention towards the Guest Himself, and absorbed all the words and teaching of the Son of God. Jesus rebuked Martha in her busy ways, which kept her from the most important issues. Martha’s sin was in her busyness, an overabundance of serving at the moment. Exceeding in worldly care will unavoidably bring us to spiritual bankruptcy, which will lead to serious consequences. Isaiah 5:12–14 reveals that it will entrap a soul to the enemy, lead to spiritual thirst and hunger, and ultimately the destruction of a soul.

“The harp and the strings, The tambourine and flute, And wine are in their feasts; But they do not regard the work of the LORD, Nor consider the operation of His hands. Therefore my people have gone into captivity, Because they have no knowledge; Their honorable men are famished, And their multitude dried up with thirst. Therefore Sheol has enlarged itself And opened its mouth beyond measure; Their glory and their multitude and their pomp, And he who is jubilant, shall descend into it.” (NKJV)

Let’s take an example from Mary and let’s put the care for our eternal souls and the souls of our children and loved ones as priority. Because it is exactly what will bring blessing: “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things” (Matthew 5:33, 34a, NKJV). This way neither flesh nor spirit will have any harm.

Prayer: “Lord, help me to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, so I won’t lose the kingdom and have all these other things added to me as well.” Matthew 6:33

Please, share. Thank you! Blessings!

New Year Encouragement

I want to wish everyone a happy New Year and God’s blessings! Regardless of our age, God is blessing us with one more year in our lives to be with our loved ones and a chance to bring more fruit for His Kingdom.

The Apostle Paul, has said the following: “I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified” (1 Cor. 9:26-27). Christians should live a focused life and be goal oriented in their deeds and thoughts. Peter tells us to “gird up the loins of your mind” (1 Peter 1:13). That is a suggestion to not slack off.

The proverb about the talents illustrates Jesus’ stand towards lazy Christianity. We need to be actively working on our spiritual growth. We also need to be engaged in the use of our God given talents for His glory. Our talents can be our families and children. What is your situation in this area? How much do you fast, pray and read the Bible? Do you have any plans to make changes in those areas in the New Year?

I encourage you to bring much fruit for the Lord and people around you in this coming year! May all your resolutions be accomplished! I leave you with this following verse to ponder on: “To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God” (Rev. 2:7).

A Prayer for a New Year: “Dear God, please work in me both to will and to do things for Your good pleasure. Help me to do all things without complaining and disputing. Thank you.” (Prayer based on Philippians 2:13-14)

If you were blessed, please share with others. Blessings!

Ancient Prophecy for Our Days

“. . . An assembly of treacherous men.  “And like their bow they have bent their tongues for lies. They are not valiant for the truth on the earth. For they proceed from evil to evil, And they do not know Me,” says the LORD. “Everyone take heed to his neighbor, And do not trust any brother; For every brother will utterly supplant, And every neighbor will walk with slanderers.  Everyone will deceive his neighbor, And will not speak the truth; They have taught their tongue to speak lies; They weary themselves to commit iniquity.  Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; Through deceit they refuse to know Me,” says the LORD. Therefore thus says the LORD of hosts: “Behold, I will refine them and try them; For how shall I deal with the daughter of My people? Their tongue is an arrow shot out; It speaks deceit; One speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, But in his heart he lies in wait.  Shall I not punish them for these things?” says the LORD. “Shall I not avenge Myself on such a nation as this?”” (Jeremiah 9:2c–9, NKJV)

Clean Hands

Bring your petitions before the Lord with clean hands:

“… let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” (1 Peter 3:10b-12 NKJV)

Analyze your life in the light of God’s Word, bring everything under His subjection in repentance and aim to lead a holy life with His help.
